Privacy & cookie details

Clear about what is stored.

This summary distinguishes the storage and personal-data features currently used by Pro Event Search from our planned use of Google Analytics.

01 / Cookies

Only storage needed to operate the site.

The hosting and sign-in services may use essential authentication and technical cookies to keep access secure. These cookies are not used for advertising or audience profiling.

The cookie notice stores proevent-cookie-notice-v2 in your browser's local storage after dismissal, so the notice does not appear on every visit. You can remove it through your browser's site-data settings.

When you save events, a compact shortlist is kept in your browser's session storage for the current tab. It survives searches and page reloads, is not sent to the server, and is discarded when that browser session ends.

02 / Excel downloads

Email addresses are stored separately.

When you request an Excel download, the entered email address is stored with its first and latest download times and a download count. It is not treated as consent to marketing, and the table is restricted to authorized administrators.

03 / Event requests

Zero-result requests are stored for catalogue review.

If a search has no matches and you choose to request suitable events, we store your email address, the request text, selected date and location filters, relevant event domains, submission time, and workflow status. This information is used only to investigate catalogue gaps and respond when suitable events are identified; it is not a marketing opt-in.

Identical requests from the same email address are consolidated and their submission count is increased. Requests marked fulfilled or closed are scheduled for deletion after 12 months. Reopening a request clears that deletion schedule while the request is being reviewed again.

04 / Event submissions

Organiser submissions are reviewed before publication.

When you submit an event, we store the event facts, organiser name, contact email address, submission reference, review status, submission time, and any internal review notes. Authorized administrators use this information to verify and classify the event and, when needed, contact the organiser manually through their email application. The website does not send an automatic confirmation email.

Accepted public event facts may be copied into the event catalogue. The contact email address and internal review notes are not published with the event. Rejected submissions are scheduled for deletion after 12 months; submissions still being reviewed and accepted catalogue records are kept for the operational review and listing process.

05 / Search history

Submitted queries help us improve the catalogue.

When you submit the search form, we store the query text, submission time, selected date and location filters, result count, and whether the search completed, had invalid input, or failed. This history helps us identify popular topics and searches with no results. It is retained as a search history and is restricted to authorized administrators.

We do not attach your email address, account identity, or IP address to these records. Typing without submitting, opening a prepared search link, and reloading search results do not create a history entry. This feature does not use analytics cookies or send queries to Google. Avoid including personal information in your search text.

06 / Your choices

You remain in control of browser storage.

You can block or remove site data in your browser. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent protected areas, including the admin workspace, from working correctly.

Google Analytics is not currently running, so there is no analytics consent to manage yet. When it is introduced, you will be able to accept or reject analytics and later change that choice. Rejecting analytics will not prevent you from searching, saving events, or exporting results.

07 / Planned Google Analytics

Planned analytics are not current collection.

We plan to use Google Analytics in the future to understand aggregate site usage and improve the search experience. Google Analytics is not installed or active today, and no analytics data is currently sent to Google.

Before activation, analytics storage will be disabled by default and will only be enabled after an explicit acceptance. Refusing analytics will be as easy as accepting it, and a privacy control will allow consent to be withdrawn.

Before Google Analytics goes live, this page will be updated with the exact data collected, purpose, provider details, cookies or browser storage used, retention period, applicable data transfers, and instructions for exercising privacy rights.
