Your AI Demo Worked. Now What? 8 Events for 2027

Explore these eight hand-picked events covering AI research, safe deployment, corporate adoption, and robotics—complete with tailored advice on finding your perfect fit.

Your AI demo worked. Then someone asked how you would keep it reliable, explain its decisions and make it useful outside the test environment.

I would build your 2027 calendar around those questions. These eight events are my picks for connecting AI research, business adoption and robotics with the problems you need to solve.

1. ACM TRUST 2027

7-9 MARCH 2027 | WASHINGTON, DC, USA & ONLINE

ACM TRUST covers security, explainability, fairness and responsible AI, with attendance in Washington or online. I would bring a difficult evaluation problem and ask what evidence would justify deployment. Choose it if you need to connect technical testing with governance.

2. HumanX 2027

7-10 MARCH 2027 | LAS VEGAS, USA

HumanX focuses on enterprise AI adoption and business value. I would go if you lead an AI programme and need to discuss buying decisions, implementation and organisational change. If hospitality is your market, connect those conversations with my hotel technology events guide.

3. NVIDIA GTC 2027

14-18 MARCH 2027 | SAN JOSE, USA & ONLINE

GTC connects accelerated computing with generative AI, agents and robotics. I would use it to question the infrastructure behind your next application: what limits speed, cost or scale? Bring your workload assumptions so you can judge technical options against your own requirements.

4. AI in Production 2027

10-11 JUNE 2027 | NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, UNITED KINGDOM

Choose Newcastle when your job includes keeping models useful after launch. Deployment, monitoring, observability and responsible AI give this conference a clear operational focus. I would arrive with one recurring failure and ask how other teams detect it, investigate it and recover.

5. CVPR 2027

20-25 JUNE 2027 | SEATTLE, USA

For computer vision, I would put CVPR high on your list. Its research programme, workshops and short courses offer a focused setting for examining methods. Bring the cases your model handles badly and look for ideas you can test against them.

6. automatica 2027

22-25 JUNE 2027 | MUNICH, GERMANY

Take your AI questions onto the factory floor. automatica brings robotics, machine vision and automation into one exhibition, making it useful when software must work with physical equipment. I would ask suppliers about integration, maintenance and recovery when a system encounters something unexpected.

7. KDD 2027

1-5 AUGUST 2027 | SAN JOSE, USA

KDD connects machine learning and data mining with research and applied data science. I would use it to examine whether better model metrics translate into better decisions. If your work involves mobility, extend your shortlist with my transport analytics events guide.

8. ECAI 2027

2-7 OCTOBER 2027 | ATHENS, GREECE

Finish in Athens with a broader AI research perspective. The European Conference on Artificial Intelligence includes technical papers, workshops, tutorials and a Doctoral Consortium, with pre-conference activities on 2-3 October and the main conference on 4-7 October. I would prioritise it for feedback on your research direction or collaborators beyond your immediate specialism.

Where I would send you

If you are a PhD student, I would look at ECAI's Doctoral Consortium or CVPR for a project in computer vision. Senior ML engineers should consider GTC and AI in Production. Data scientists seeking methodological depth should shortlist KDD.

I would send business leaders to HumanX and manufacturing engineers to automatica. If you own AI evaluation or governance, start with ACM TRUST.

Watch the clashes: TRUST overlaps HumanX, and CVPR overlaps automatica. Before booking, choose one question you want answered and three people you want to meet.
